'Survivor' Amazon Contestants

Meet the sixteen Americans who will spend 40 days in the world's largest rainforest as they vie for a $1 million prize in the latest season of "Survivor." For the first time, "Survivor: The Amazon" will pit a team of men against a team of women. Here are the team members.

Ryan Aiken

A 23-year-old model, Aiken is from Ellicott City, Md.

Alex Bell

Alex Bell — CBS

Bell, 32, is a triathlon coach from Los Angeles, Calif.

Rob Cesternino

Rob Cesternino — CBS

From Wantagh, on New York's Long Island, Cesternino is 24 and a computer products coordinator.

Matthew Von Ertfelda

Matthew Von Ertfelda — CBS

Von Ertfelda, 33, is a restaurant designer from Washington, D.C.

Dave Johnson

Dave Johnson — CBS

From Pasadena, Calif., Johnson, 24, is a rocket scientist.

Butch Lockley

Butch Lockley — CBS

Lockley, 50, is a school principal from Olney, Ill.

Daniel Lue

A tax accountant, Lue is 27 and hails from Houston, Texas.

Roger Sexton

At 56, Sexton is the men's tribal elder. He is a construction company executive from Valencia, Calif.

Shawna Mitchell

Mitchell is 23 and a retail saleswoman from Redwood City, Calif.

A school gym teacher from Eldon, Mo., Strobel is 24.
