"SNL" stars we've lost
Belushi was one of the original cast members when the comedy sketch series first launched in 1975. He stayed with "Saturday Night Live" for four seasons before going on to films like "Animal House" and "The Blues Brothers."
Belushi died of a drug overdose at age 33 in 1982.
Gilda Radner
Like Belushi, Radner was also an original "SNL" cast member. She stayed with the series for five seasons.
Radner died of ovarian cancer at 42 in 1989.

Danitra Vance
Vance was the show's first openly gay female cast member. She appeared during the 11th season from 1985-86.
Vance died of breast cancer in 1994. She was 40.
Michael O'Donoghue
An influential performer and writer in the show's early years, O'Donoghue died of a cerebral hemorrhage at 54 in 1994.
Phil Hartman
Hartman was a cast member from 1986-94.
He was killed by his wife in 1998 at age 49.
Charlie Rocket
Rocket was infamously fired from "SNL" after dropping an "F-bomb" during a 1981 "Weekend Update" segment.
He committed suicide in 2005 at age 56.
Tom Davis
A performer-writer in the show's early years, Davis died of cancer at 59 in 2012.
Don Pardo
Don Pardo served as announcer from the show's inception in 1975 up until his death on Aug. 18, 2014, at age 96.
Jan Hooks
Hooks was a member of the "SNL" troupe from 1986-91. She died on Oct. 9, 2014, at age 57 from an undisclosed illness.
Chris Farley
Chris Farley was favorite on the show from 1990-95, known for his motivation speaker sketch -- "living in a van down by the river."
He was found dead in his Chicago apartment on Dec. 18, 1997, at the age of 33. An autopsy later revealed that he had died of died of an overdose of cocaine and morphine. A significant contributing factor, the medical examiner said, was a narrowing of the arteries supplying the heart muscle.
