Palin and her high school sweetheart, Todd Palin, eloped shortly after Palin graduated college. They have five children, the oldest, Track, joined the Army in 2007. Palin's youngest son, Trig Paxson Van Palin, has Down syndrome. Palin refused to let the results of prenatal genetic testing change her decision to have the baby. "I'm looking at him right now, and I see perfection," Palin said.
