22-year-old Elliot Rodger, son of assistant director of "The Hunger Games," began his mass killing near the University of California, Santa Barbara, campus by stabbing three people to death in an apartment, according to officials. He then went on to shoot people while driving his BMW and ran down at least one person until crashing, ultimately dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, police said.
