Robert F. Kennedy
Robert F. Kennedy, JFK's younger brother, was U.S. Attorney General and a Senator who fell victim to an assassin's bullet while campaigning for the Democratic nomination for president on June 5, 1968. Also called "RFK," he was U.S. Attorney General from 1961 to 1964 and a U.S. Senator from New York from 1965 until his assassination by Sirhan Sirhan at the Ambassador Hotel in L.A.

Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, D-N.Y., March 1, 1967. In June 2008 New York lawmakers approved the renaming New York City's Triborough Bridge the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge. The Triborough Bridge, opened in 1936, is actually a complex of three bridges, a viaduct and 14 miles of approach roads. It links Manhattan, the Bronx and Queens.
