6th Republican debate
Republican presidential candidates face off in South Carolina for the 6th GOP debate, January 14, 2016. The sixth Republican debate is held in two parts, one main debate for the top seven candidates, and another for three other candidates lower in the current polls.

Rubio broke up the bickering between Trump and Cruz, remarking, "I hate to interrupt this episode of Court TV... I think we have to get back to what this election has to be about."

Cruz and Trump traded sharp barbs on Cruz's citizenship.

When Cruz criticized "New York values" Trump provided an emotional response, ""When the World Trade Center came down I saw something that no place on earth could have handled more beautifully, more humanely than New York," he said.

Jeb Bush
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush stated that, as "wild and woolly" as the nomination process is, "at the end of the day we need to unite behind the winner so we can defeat Hillary Clinton."

Chris Christie & Marco Rubio

Rubio primarily spent the debate heavily criticizing the Obama administration. Christie did the same in saying about Obama, "This guy is a petulant child, that's what he is."
