Rare images of The Beatles
In 1964, Grossman, a Time magazine photographer, got what turned out to be the assignment of a lifetime. He was sent to shoot The Beatles' first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show." That led to four years as the band's unofficial photographer.
Almost half a century later, comes a book: "Places I Remember: My Time with The Beatles" features a thousand of Grossman's images from those heady days. It's a limited edition, priced at $495. He provided "CBS This Morning: Saturday" with a sneak peek.
Photographer Henry Grossman said this picture was taken the same day that Brian Epstein, The Beatles' manager, died, and everyone scrambled to find ways back to Wales.
