Quran

The University of Birmingham said scientific tests prove the Quran manuscript in its collection is one of the oldest known and may have been written close to the time of the Prophet Muhammad.
Radiocarbon testing at Oxford University dated the parchment to the time of the prophet, who is generally believed to have lived between 570 and 632.

Earth

This is the most distant image NASA has ever taken of the Earth and it's amazingly clear.
When President Barack Obama saw the image, he tweeted, "Just got this new blue marble photo from @NASA. A beautiful reminder that we need to protect the only planet we have."

The gunman, John Russell Houser, killed two and injured nine. Houser killed himself at the scene.
Burundi election violence

Burundians voted July 21 amid gunfire and grenade blasts. At least two people, a policeman and a civilian, were killed in a string of explosions and gunfire overnight according to the police and witnesses.

Texas - Sandra Bland's cell
The Waller County jail cell where Sandra Bland, 28, was found dead in Hempstead, Texas is seen July 22, 2015.
Bland was arrested after for a routine traffic stop and taken to the jail about 60 miles (100 kilometers) northwest of Houston on July 10 and found dead July 13.
Officials say Bland hanged herself with a plastic garbage bag in her jail cell, a contention her family and supporters strongly dispute. The case has received widespread attention both because of the circumstances of Bland's death and the validity of the arrest.

Abdulazeez, 24, opened fire on the military recruiting station on July 16th at the strip mall and then drove to an operational support center operated by the U.S. Navy and killed four United States Marines and a Navy sailor.

Turkey - suicide bombing

A suspected ISIS suicide bomber set off explosives at a Turkish cultural center in the southern town, where activists had gathered to prepare for an aid mission to the nearby Syrian town of Kobane.
It was one of the deadliest attacks in Turkey in recent years and the first time the government directly accused the ISIS of carrying out an act of terror on Turkish soil.

Tanaka resigns

Shark attacks surfer
