Pluto revealed
Pluto nearly fills the frame in this image from the Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI) aboard NASA's New Horizons spacecraft, taken on July 13, 2015, when the spacecraft was 476,000 miles from the surface and released on July 14, 2015.
More than nine years after its launch, the U.S. spacecraft sailed past Pluto on July 14, 2015, capping a 3 billion mile journey to the solar system's farthest reaches, NASA said.
Chattanooga - shooting

All mountaineering activities will be banned on July 14 on the Swiss and Italian side of the Alpine summit in remembrance of the more the 500 people who died trying its summit.
Oldest World War II veteran

Greek anti-establishment protesters threw dozens of petrol bombs at police in front of parliament on July 15, 2015 ahead of a key vote on a bailout deal, in some of the most serious violence in over two years. Police responded with tear gas, sending hundreds of people fleeing in central Syntagma Square.

Ireland - Bonfire

Tradition holds that the bonfires commemorate the lighting of fires on the hills to help Williamite ships navigate through Belfast Lough at night when Protestant King William III and his forces landed at Carrickfergus to fight the Catholic Jacobites, supporters of the exiled Catholic King James II. The bonfires also mark the beginning of the annual 12th of July Orange parades.

8,000 Muslim men and boys were executed by Bosnian Serb forces in July, 1995, their bodies dumped in pits then dug up months later and scattered in smaller graves in a systematic effort to conceal the crime. More than 1,000 victims have yet to be found.
Srebrenica - Anniversary
