On the ground with Border Patrol agents in Texas
CBS News' David Begnaud rode along with Border Patrol agents at the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas amid growing outrage over the "zero tolerance" policy that has resulted in the separation of children from parents who cross over the border illegally.
Mother and child
Just minutes into the ride along, agents came across a family from Honduras that wishes to come to the U.S., including a mother with her young child.
Fleeing violence
The family from Honduras said they wanted to come to the U.S. because of violence in their home country.
Detained
Just south of McAllen, Texas, more people come into the U.S. illegally than anywhere else along the southern border.
Being processed
Eventually, the immigrants were taken by bus to a processing center. It's there that they would find out if they would be separated.
On the run
Another group of men who tried to run from Border Patrol agents were caught.
