Olympic athlete charged with murder
Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius was charged with murder on Feb. 14, 2013 after his girlfriend was found shot to death inside his home in Pretoria, South Africa. Police said model Reeva Steenkamp was shot four times. Pistorius made history in London in 2012 when he became the first double-amputee track athlete to compete in the Olympic Games, propelling him to the status of an athletics superstar. Steenkamp was one of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World for two years running and appeared in countless international and national advertisements.
