Oil Still Remains in Spots Along the Gulf Coast

Thick, oily muck continues to wash over waterways creating what reporter August Skamenca describes as looking like asphalt beaches.

Reporter August Skamenca uses a twig to dig into the dirt to see if oil has seeped into the soil.

While large cleaning crews can be seen all along the beaches of Grand Isle, in other less-visited areas, there's no one to be found.

One of the few people out in an area reopened to recreational fishermen.
