Taking selfies
Jolene Jackinsky said she was at Anchorage International Airport on July 3 when Obama spotted her 6-month-old daughter, Giselle, and walked up to Jackinsky and said, "Who is this pretty girl?"
He held the baby and posed in a selfie with Jackinsky and Giselle. Jackinsky posted photos of the former president on Facebook.
Indonesian visit
Obama met with Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the Bogor Presidential Palace on June 30, 2017.
Vacationing in Bali
The Obamas visited Indonesia's Tirtha Empul temple on the resort island of Bali on June 27, 2017.
The family was on a 10-day trip to Indonesia.

Obama was spotted leaving a Milan hotel on May 8, 2017.
He was visiting Italy for a two-day summit on climate change and global food availability. He also planned to meet with former Italian Premier Matteo Renzi and representatives of the local business community.
Climate change speech in Milan
Obama delivered a speech about climate change during "Seed & Chips: Global Food Innovation Summit" in Milan on May 9, 2017.
He defended the Paris Climate Accord — an agreement to reduce the use of fossil fuels, which the U.S. signed along with nearly 200 other countries.
President Trump has threatened to cancel U.S. involvement in the accord.
Profile in Courage Award
Obama accepted the annual Profile in Courage Award at the John F. Kennedy Library on May 7, 2017.
Members of the Kennedy family honored Mr. Obama with the prestigious award for his overall contributions to public life.
Defending the ACA
Mr. Obama used his first big speech back in the spotlight to touch on the health care debate, days after House Republicans passed a bill to replace the health care program championed by his administration.
He defended the Affordable Care Act, while noting that "progress is fragile."
Chicago community event
On May 3, Obama and Michelle Obama attended a community event in Chicago, where they spoke about the proposed Obama Presidential Center, which is scheduled to be built in the city.

Obama showed off the design of the proposed center, which is set to have three buildings — a museum, a library, and a forum with auditorium and public garden.
Public speaking
In his first public speaking appearance since leaving office, Obama spoke at a forum at the University of Chicago on April 24, 2017. There, he met with young leaders to talk about community organizing.

"I'm spending a lot of time thinking about what is the most important thing I can do for my next job," Obama said at the Chicago forum. "The single most important thing I can do is to help in any way I can to prepare the next generation of leadership to take up the baton and to take their own crack at changing the world."

The internet loved it when this picture of a vacationing Obama snapping a photo of Michelle Obama surfaced in mid-April.
The Obamas were enjoying a trip on the 454-foot yacht Rising Sun near the island of Moorea in French Polynesia.
Tom Hanks, Bruce Springsteen, Patti Scialfa, Rita Wilson and Oprah Winfrey were also on board the ship, owned by billionaire David Geffen.
Dining at Gramercy Tavern
Obama was seen having lunch at Gramercy Tavern in Manhattan in March. As he left, he stopped to shake hands with fellow diners.
Grabbing coffee
The same day, Obama caused a stir on the street and on the internet when he was photographed walking out of a Starbucks in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan.
Eating out
The day before, Obama was spotted in New York City, at Upland restaurant.
He had lunch at the trendy Flatiron eatery with former first lady Michelle Obama and U2 frontman Bono. Upland's managers said on Twitter that they were "honored" to host the group.
Dad-daughter bonding
In late February, Obama and daughter Malia dined at Emilio's Ballato, a restaurant in New York City.
They were spotted later taking in a Broadway show — the revival of Arthur Miller's "The Price," starring Danny DeVito and Mark Ruffalo.
Dessert-ing
Onlookers speculated that Obama and Malia shared the tiramisu, which the restaurant is known for.
Vacationing
Here, Obama tries his hand at kitesurfing while vacationing with businessman Richard Branson on Branson's Moskito Island, in the British Virgin Islands.
Goofing off
Branson and Obama definitely seemed to enjoy each other's company during the February 2017 trip.
