A Bangladeshi national was arrested on Oct. 17, 2012, by federal authorities for allegedly plotting to blow up the Federal Reserve Bank in New York City. Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, the suspect in the plot, was arrested while attempting to detonate what he believed was a 1,000-pound bomb in front of the Fed building on Liberty Street, according to authorities.
