In "Nim's Island," a girl named Nim (Abigail Breslin) lives on a deserted island with her scientist father (Gerard Butler) and spends her days having adventures in the woods with her animal friends and her wild imagination. Nim's life mirrors the adventures of her literary hero Alexandra Rover (Jodie Foster). When Nim's father goes missing, a twist of fate brings Alexandra and Nim together to try and help him.
