This week, 60 Minutes took an inside look at the business of college football, following teams from the University of Alabama, Towson University, and the University of Michigan -- which also happens to be the alma mater of Mike Wallace.
We're impartial, of course. No playing favorites in politics or sports, right? But in the interest of full disclosure, there was a time when the great tradition of 60 Minutes and the tradition of Michigan football intersected.
That intersection happened in the Big House itself on the 50-yard line, or thereabouts, when overjoyed Michigan alum Mike Wallace (class of '39) wielded the baton of the Michigan marching band as honorary conductor during the halftime show on Oct. 28, 1995.
The home team won handily that day with a 54-17 win over the Minnesota Gophers.
