Martina McBride Rocks The Plaza

Waiting for Martina McBride to take the stage on The Early Show plaza! A lot of times, the toughest part of my job is entertaining the crowd, which I had to do for about 30 minutes! I ended up interviewing all the members of the band, which was really fun!

One of the things that I enjoy about interviewing musicians in front of crowds is the reaction that we get to certain questions and answers. Here we are listening to the crowd cheer about the success of Martina's new album "Waking Up Laughing."

During the taping of The Early Show/Fashion Rock concert on the plaza, Sept. 5, 2007, Martina was checking something out with one of her band members before singing one of her songs from her new album.

Martina co-wrote some of the songs on her new album and the results were great! She also produced "Waking Up Laughing," which hit No. 6 on the charts.

Martina has an incredible voice and great control, too! Here she is belting out her gorgeous single "Anyway."

We talked about lots of stuff, including fashion and motherhood.

I inevitably end up dancing at all concerts! Here I am hanging out with a group of ladies who came all the way from San Jose!

Here we are trying to keep to the beat of Martina's new single. It was one of the first times she had performed it live and the crowd was really getting into it!
