Man sentenced in drug-dealing mom murder
A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the disappearance and death of a drug-dealing Maine mother. Anthony Papile pleaded guilty on May 24, 2012, in the death of 20-year-old Krista Dittmeyer of Portland, Maine, who was found in the Cranmore Mountain ski area's snowmaking pond in New Hampshire in April 2011. The cause of death was prolonged cold water submersion.
Dittmeyer's car was found idling in the parking lot of the ski area with her 14-month-old baby unharmed inside. Dittmeyer's body was found nearby four days later. Prosecutors say Dittmeyer was lured to a friend's apartment and clubbed by the 29-year-old Papile, and that he plotted to steal drugs and money from her. She is seen here in this undated personal photo.
