Aidan Folan, 21, is charged with robbery and assault after allegedly attacking Dina Perez, a 56-year-old woman, as she got off a subway train around 2:30 a.m. on March 9, police said, according to CBS New York. Folan allegedly fled the scene with unspecified personal items he stole from Perez. Perez suffered a broken hand and bruises in the attack. According to the The New York Daily News, Folan was arrested after his Facebook friends notified police when they recognized the sweatshirt worn by the alleged assailant in surveillance video of the attack. On the front of the hoodie are the Greek letters for the Alpha Phi Delta fraternity and on the back is a slang term in Italian and the number 27. Folan is seen wearing what appears to be the same sweatshirt in several photos on social media.
