Lady Gaga: The "60 Minutes" Interviews

What was planned as a quiet stroll along the Thames River in London, England, turned into a paparazzi frenzy when Lady Gaga and Anderson Cooper met up for a "60 Minutes" interview in October 2010.

For Gaga, the paparazzi and attention are nothing unusual. And as she told Cooper, she is a "master of the art of fame."

After their stroll by the river and with several paparazzi in tow, Gaga and Cooper headed to a London pub, where they chatted over a couple of drinks.

Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, is actually a classically trained pianist and writes or co-writes all her songs. She insists she never lip synchs.

When next met up with Lady Gaga in Milan, Italy, in December 2010, where she wore this rather revealing ensemble.

One thing her fans - she calls them "little monsters" - may not know is that wherever she goes, she travels with a mobile recording studio.

While in Milan, Gaga let Anderson Cooper hear a number of songs from her new album, "Born This Way."

We met Gaga again in January 2011, when the pop star met Anderson Cooper in New York's Lower East Side.

The plan was to visit Lady Gaga's old apartment, where she lived before hitting it big.

But how do you get in if you don't have a key? Gaga says she was doing it the "New York way" - by hitting every buzzer in the building.

The plan to get into the building worked, but not everyone was amused: the current tenant didn't want cameras in her apartment, and then someone called New York's Finest, the NYPD.
