"Jurassic Park" cast: Where are they now?
"Jurassic Park," Steven Spielberg's blockbuster film about an island theme park filled with real-life dinosaurs, debuted on July 11, 1993. Three sequels followed: "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" in 1997 and "Jurassic Park III" in 2001 and "Jurassic World" in 2015. The original film was re-released in theaters in 3D in 2013 to mark its 20th anniversary.

Sam Neill
Sam Neill played Dr. Alan Grant, a leading paleontologist. He is invited to tour Jurassic Park by the park's founder, John Hammond.

Neill went on to reprise his role as Dr. Alan Grant in the 2001 film "Jurassic Park III." He recently starred on TV in the Fox series "Alcatraz," which was canceled after one season, and also had roles in "Merlin," "The Tudors" and films like "The Vow."

Dern appeared briefly in "Jurassic Park III," and also had roles in "October Sky," "I Am Sam" and "The Master." She won a Golden Globe in 2013 for her role as Amy Jellicoe on the HBO series "Enlightened," which was canceled after two seasons. In 2015, she received an Oscar nomination her role in the Reese Witherspoon film, "Wild."
In 2015, she spoke with CBS News about being a part of "Jurassic Park," saying, "It was so inventive and it was such an enormous time because it was the first CGI film. So it was incredible thing to be part of. Stan Winston's genius in animatronics was present so we had all of that with his puppetry that was created for the film."
Jeff Goldblum
Jeff Goldblum portrayed Dr. Ian Malcolm, a mathematician and chaos theorist. The character appears in both of Michael Crichton's novels, "Jurassic Park" and "The Lost World."

Goldblum reprised his role as Dr. Ian Malcom in the "Jurassic Park" sequel "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." His other post-"Jurassic" projects have included "Independence Day" and two seasons on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," as well as a guest-spot on "Glee" and "Portlandia."

"Jurassic Park" marked Attenborough's first on-screen acting role since 1979 (though he won two Oscars for directing and producing "Ghandi" and also directed "A Chorus Line" and "Chaplin" during that time). Post-"Jurassic Park," he also appeared in "The Lost World," as well as "Miracle on 34th Street," "Hamlet" and "Elizabeth." He died in 2014 at 90.
Ariana Richards
Ariana Richards played John Hammon's granddaughter, Lex Murphy. After the park's security systems and electric fences are deactivated, she and others on the island have some scary run-ins with dinosaurs (including a ferocious Tyrannosaurus and a pack of Velociraptors.).

She graduated from Skidmore College, earning a degree in fine art and drama, and has become a successful artist. She starred in the "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" and continues to dabble in acting, too, appearing in the 2013 TV movie, "Battledogs."

Joseph Mazzello played Tim Murphy, Lex's younger brother.

Wayne Knight played Dennis Nedry, the disgruntled architect of Jurassic Park's computer systems. He is the one who shuts down the park's security systems (including the electric fences), so he can steal dinosaur embryos for one of InGen's corporate rivals. He ends up being blinded and killed by a Dilophosaurus.

B.D. Wong played Dr. Henry Wu, the chief geneticist at Jurassic Park and head of the team that created the dinosaurs.
