It's a wonderful town

The village of is transformed into Bedford Falls every year for the annual weekend festival honoring the classic holiday film. The town is believed by some to be the inspiration for the movie.

Residents of Seneca Falls, N.Y., think Bailey's make-believe hometown, Bedford Falls, was heavily inspired by their quaint upstate town.
This cannot be proven, and director Frank Capra never confirmed such a connection, but that hasn't stopped locals in Seneca Falls from celebrating the beloved movie every December.

Owen is the daughter of actress Donna Reed, the woman who played Mary Hatch in Frank Capra’s 1946 classic movie.
