Instagram's new photo editing features

Instagram unveiled a new set of creative tools with the ability to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation and more.

Tools

The update is available for iOS and Android.  Once the app has been updated, when users tap on the gear icon, a new set of tools appear.

Filter strength

This feature will allow users to adjust a photo's filter,  making any effects more -- or less -- obvious.

Saturation

Saturation can be used to increase or decrease the color intensity of the image.

Warmth

Shifting the colors of your photos to warmer or cooler tones is now as easy as a tap.

Brightness

Use the brightness tool to make your photo brighter or darker.

Contrast

Contrast can be used to make the bright areas of a photo brighter and the dark areas darker.
