Ice storm freezes Texas, South

Millions of people - from Texas to Ohio to Tennessee - hunkered down for icy conditions expected to last through the weekend as the cold snap that covered much of the U.S. knocked out power and made roads treacherous Saturday.
About 117,000 customers in North Texas were without power Saturday morning after power lines were downed by falling trees. Ice forced the sporadic closures of freeways and interchanges in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and more than than 350 departing flights from DFW were cancelled Saturday morning, stranding thousands of passengers.
Forecasters say subfreezing temperatures will continue through the weekend.
