Actress Holland Taylor in 2000. Taylor was born on Jan. 14, 1943, and spent most of her teen years in Philadelphia. At 22, she moved to New York to pursue a career on Broadway.
After fifteen years of "disappointments and near misses" looking for a break on Broadway, Taylor was cast in the 1980 sitcom "Bosom Buddies" with Tom Hanks.
