Andrea Rebello, a 21-year-old Hofstra University student, left, was fatally shot by a police officer's bullet in an attempt to rescue her from an armed intruder, May 17, 2013. Rebello, of Westchester County, N.Y., was reportedly in the Uniondale, N.Y. home with her twin sister, two other women and a man at the time of the break-in. Both Andrea Rebello and the armed intruder were killed in the incident. Police say the suspect was wearing a ski mask and was armed with a handgun entered the home around 2:20 a.m. About ten minutes later, the suspect allowed one of the women to leave, who then called 911, Nassau County Deputy Inspector Kenneth Lack said.
