Oct. 22, 2013: Google Earth used to bust medicinal marijuana garden.
After authorities in Oregon received a tip that 50-year-old Curtis W. Croft was bragging about all the pot he was growing on his property outside Grants Pass, investigators went to Google Earth to find out what they could see.
Authorities say online satellite images taken in June 2013 showed dozens of plants in neat rows.
Records showed Croft was registered to grow for
five people, which amounts to 30 mature plants. Authorities say a police
raid in September seized 94 plants.

Feb. 27, 2014: A Montana couple was charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a 2-year-old child after they allegedly allowed the boy to smoke marijuana at least five times, according to court records.High Times
March 18, 2014: Stephanie Hamman (left), 23, was charged with attempted first-degree murder and felony vandalism after police say she crashed her car into a Tennessee church (right) and stabbed her husband in the chest.When interviewed about the crime, Hamman told police of her love for marijuana. "I love to smoke it," she said. "Sometimes when I do, I start seeing things that others don't. Isn't God good? He told me this would happen, and just look. I am okay."

Feb. 24, 2014: Police in Sugarcreek Borough in northwest Pennsylvania say they were called when workers at the Salvation Army found a large plastic bag full of marijuana among some donated clothes.
Police Chief Matt Carlson called it a "substantial quantity" of pot and worked with employees at the charity to try and track down who donated it.

March 5, 2014: Three third-grade students at a Sonora Elementary School in California were busted for smoking pot in the school's bathroom last week.Two 8-year-olds and a 9-year-old were caught by another student, who immediately informed school administrators. Those officials then alerted local police.

Jan. 27, 2011: Mexican and American officials foiled a scheme where smugglers tried to fling marijuana across the Arizona-Mexico border using a catapult.The 9-foot-tall catapult was found about 20 yards from the U.S. border on a flatbed towed by a sport utility vehicle. The catapult was capable of launching 4.4 pounds of marijuana at a time.

Dec. 10, 2013: Authorities say roughly 12 tons of marijuana valued at $7 million was found hidden among an electronics shipment in a tractor-trailer in Tustin, Calif., Dec. 2, 2013.According to police, the driver didn't even know he was transporting the drugs.
