At the "High School Musical on Ice" world premiere at Madison Square Garden with my daughters. We are chatting with Rich Ross, the president of the Disney Channel, who is quizzing the girls about their favorite shows.
Here I am with a couple of big kids, two of my best friends. On the left, Rhonda Barrymore from Atlanta, who I have known since my days at CNN. On the right is Carmen Belmont, who is also my wardrobe stylist -- she even picked out my shirt!
I ran into my pal Steve Doocy, host of "Fox and Friends." Steve and I used to work together years ago at a network called America's Talking. He is the first person I ever did morning television with. Now I watch him in the morning in my office just before I go on the air. It's always great to catch up with him.
The staging of the show was great and the choreography was very reminiscent of what you see in musicals. Here, the East High Cheerleaders are kicking off the first act, which has most of the numbers from the first "High School Musical" made-for-TV movie.
The second half of "High School Musical on Ice" features numbers from "High School Musical 2." My favorite is the kitchen scene -- you can see the pots and pans dangling from above!
