Guinness World Records' wackiest sports record holders

Participating in sports is a great way to boost your health. With recent research showing that people who sit most of the day are more likely to take years off their life, now is as good a time as any to pick up a physical activity.

And for those of us who aren't into traditional sports, Guinness World Records has highlighted recent records in some of the strangest sports you may never have heard of.

"It's all very well being a professional athlete, but what about the pea-shooters, toe-wrestlers and haggis-hurlers? Who gives these passionate sporting heroes the credit they deserve?" asked Guinness World Records editor-in-chief Craig Glenday.

Fastest 100m light aircraft pull

The fastest 100-meter light aircraft pull was 29.84 seconds and was achieved by Montystar Agarawal (India) on the set of Guinness World Records at Ab India Todega in Baramati, Maharashtra, India, Feb. 23, 2011. Agarawal finished about 20 seconds under runner Usain Bolt's 100m world record of 9.58 seconds (minus the aircraft, of course).
