London native Gary Oldman was born March 21, 1958. After graduating from Britain's Rose Bruford Drama College in 1979, Oldman continued his studies with the Greenwich Young People's Theatre.
Oldman's blockbuster status has heightened over the last few years. He has starred as Sirius Black in the popular Harry Potter series and Lt. Gordon in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight."

One of Oldman's earliest successes was his portrayal of singer Sid Vicious (accompanied by Chloe Webb as Nancy Spungen) in the acclaimed "Sid and Nancy" (1986).
