Gabriel Byrne

Gabriel James Byrne, the Emmy-nominated star of the HBO series "In Treatment," was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. The actor did not visit America until 1987 when he was 37 years old.

Byrne arrives at the premiere of his film "Spider" during the Toronto International Film Festival in 2002.

Gabriel Byrne is seen in New York City in 2005. The actor has two children with his ex-wife, actress Ellen Barkin. Their son Jack was born in 1989 and daughter Romey Marion was born in 1992.

Byrne performs in "Camelot" from PBS's Live From Lincoln Center series in May 2008. The actor got his start at age 29 performing in the Focus Theatre and the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. He later he joined the Royal Court Theatre and the Royal National Theatre in London.
