Famous Guys With Famous Hair

Pittsburgh Steelers' Troy Polamalu poses for photos in Los Angeles on July 16, 2010, in a photo provided by Procter & Gamble. The long, flowing black hair that tumbles out of Polamalu's helmet and down his back - it's nearly three feet long - has been insured for $1 million by Head & Shoulders, the shampoo brand that is endorsed by the Steelers safety.

Andre Agassi

Tennis star Andre Agassi was known for his distinctive long hair, but it turns out it wasn't actually his - in his November 2009 autobiography "Open," he admits the flowing mane was actually a wig.

Of course, Agassi isn't the only guy with memorable locks. Let's take a look at some others.

Sanjaya Malakar

"American Idol" finalist Sanjaya Malakar wasn't the best singer on the show, but he was definitely creative with his hairstyles (note the faux-hawk he's sporting in this photo from the show).

Phil Spector

Music producer Phil Spector's hairstyle has changed several times over the course of his trial for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson who died in the foyer of the rock legend's home on February 3, 2003. Sax player Kenny G is used to getting derided for his uber-commercial brand of smooth jazz and his long curly hair. But, he defends himself by counting the late jazz legend Miles Davis as a fan. "If Miles says I'm doing good, and some critics say I stink, why would I listen to them?" he told the St. Petersburg Times.

Michael Landon

Whether he was a pioneer dad or an angel, Michael Landon's hair always looked picture perfect on his shows "Little House On The Prairie" and "Highway to Heaven."

Milli Vanilli

Girl, you know it's true we couldn't forget these guys! Shown here resplendent in their trademark braids and Spandex are Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus -- better known as Milli Vanilli. They were forced to give back their 1990 best new artist Grammy when it was discovered they never actually sang on their records. Pilatus died of a drug overdose in 1998, but Morvan has forged ahead with a solo career.

Fabio

Fabio was famous as a model for the covers of romance novels. He had the gorgeous long, blond hair and muscular physique typical of a bodice-ripping hero. He's since become a romance novel himself and is still seen on commercials and in cameo roles on TV and film.

Bon Jovi

Even in his 40s, Jon Bon Jovi's hair still looks as healthy and thick as a teenager's. Pretty good considering all the hair products and teasing his hair must have gone through during Bon Jovi's 1980s hair band phase.

Stevie Wonder

Legendary musician Stevie Wonder started wearing braids in 1972, often with elaborate beading and down to his waist.

Michael Bolton

Michael Bolton has since cut his hair short, but it's hard to forget his long-haired phase. Make that his long-haired-receding-hairline phase. That didn't seem to bother his former fiancee, "Desperate Housewives" star Nicolette Sheridan.

Brothers Zac, Isaac and Taylor Hanson burst on to the pop scene with their 1996 megahit "MMMBop." Their long hair harkened back to past teen idols like Leif Garrett and David Cassidy.
