Explosion destroys homes in Indiana

A massive explosion sparked a huge fire and killed two people in an Indianapolis neighborhood where about three dozen homes were damaged or destroyed late Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, authorities said. The powerful nighttime blast shattered windows, crumpled walls and could be felt at least three miles away.

Authorities say a loud explosion has leveled a home and set others ablaze in Indianapolis, causing several injuries. Capt. Rita Burris with the Indiana Fire Department told The Associated Press that firefighters are still working to put out the flames after the explosion around 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012.
