Ex-LAPD cop accused of going on killing spree

Christopher Dorner is a fired Los Angeles police officer who is accused of going on a killing spree that resulted in the deaths of four people. Authorities said he wanted revenge for getting fired from the Los Angeles police force several years ago. Police said Dorner implicated himself in the killings with a "manifesto" that included threats against members of the LAPD and their kin. After a massive manhunt for the fugitive ex-cop, authorities engaged in a furious shootout with a man believed to be Dorner at a cabin in Big Bear Lake, Calif. on Feb. 12, 2013. Police believe Dorner barricaded himself inside the cabin before it was engulfed in flames. Dorner never emerged from the ruins and hours later a charred body was found inside. Authorities are waiting for forensic tests to determine whether the body is that of Dorner.
