Hilarious dog shaming
When good dogs do bad things, what's a dog owner to do? Some post humorous photos of their naughty canines, a trend started by Pascale Lemire, a Vancouver woman whose two cute dogs -- Beau and Dasha -- were the inspiration for the wildly popular dog shaming photo meme.
Lemire's dog shaming empire, which includes a website, social media pages, book and calendars, began simply enough when she caught her dachshund Beau eating her fiancé's underwear.
Lemire affectionately describes Beau, a rescue dog, as "always kind of a troublemaker." She told CBS News she once found him on the kitchen table with no idea how he got there.
Here's Beau in a photo taken by Lemire's fiancé in 2012 after the dog ate his underwear. The couple thought the photo was hilarious so she posted it to her personal Tumblr page. By the next morning she had 1,000 comments. The instant reaction soon included thousands of people sending in photos of their own dogs with funny signs. Within three weeks Lemire had received calls from publishers and quit her job to curate the images.

Within three weeks of posting the hilarious photo of a somewhat guilty looking Beau, Lemire had received calls from three publishers, including Penguin Random House, and quit her job to curate the images.

"I am terrified of our new kitten. She is so small and super fast, I can't figure her out. My mum says, in time we will bond. I am kinda skeptical about that. Kittens are to[0] mental for me!"
In just one three-week period Lemire received 35,000 photo submissions.

Lemire's reaction to the initial attention was, wow -- "10 people think this a genius idea and not one is my mother!"
In fact, Lemire has tens of thousands of fellow dog lovers as fans. Dog owners have sent her photos of everything from their pup eating their favorite pair of sunglasses, to pooping on pillows and carpets, to snagging a steak straight from the grill.

The book sold 100,000 copies, made the New York Times bestseller list in 2014, and has gone through two reprints.
Clearly there are a lot of people who know how to laugh through their frustration over misbehaving pets. It's part of their charm.
