Deadly explosions at Boston Marathon

Three people were killed and at least 180 injured after two explosions shattered the euphoria of the 2013 Boston Marathon finish line. Authorities rushed to carry off the injured runners and spectators, while the stragglers were rerouted away from the smoking site of the blasts.
