Cool cars at the L.A. Auto Show

Mercedes-Benz on Wednesday introduced a concept monster truck. The Ener-G-Force, an entry this year in the L.A. Auto Show's Design Challenge and a possible successor to the German automaker's G-Class SUV, handles any type of terrain and runs on hydrogen. The image shows the concept on Nov. 28, 2012, in Los Angeles.

Smart forjeremy

A winged car, "forjeremy" by Daimler AG's Smart, appears in Los Angeles. The flightless car's fiberglass wings house its rear brake lights. The L.A. Auto Show will run from Nov. 30 through Dec. 9.

Ford Fiesta ST

Ford's revamped Fiesta ST is on display in Los Angeles on Nov. 28, 2012, before the L.A. Auto Show.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT

Mercedes-Benz displays its SLS AMG GT on Nov. 28 before the 2012 L.A. Auto Show in Los Angeles. The German automaker manufactures the SLS AMG as a coupe and convertible.

2013 Ford Shelby GT500

A 2013 Shelby GT500 appears at the L.A. Auto Show in Los Angeles. The car's design derives from the original GT500 -- Carroll Shelby's 1967 Super Snake. The 2013 model has 662 horsepower.

Volvo S60

Volvo introduced its revamped S60 on Wendesday at the L.A. Auto Show in Los Angeles.
