Coney's Cones opened in 2015 and offers visitors a place to grab a scoop of authentic Italian gelato. 

Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs

The very first Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs. It opened in 1916 -- back when a hot dog would only set you back a nickel.

The Boardwalk

In order to ensure public access to the beach, the city obtained the title to the property along the beachfront and began the boardwalk's construction in 1921. It required 3.6 million feet of timber and 120,000 tons of stone. "Coney Island's Fifth Avenue" opened on May 15, 1923.

The Wonder Wheel

The Wonder Wheel, Coney Island's family-owned Ferris wheel, opened on Memorial Day in 1920.
