Colo. prisons chief shot and killed at home

Tom Clements, the head of the Colorado Department of Corrections, was shot to death around 8:30 p.m. on March 19, 2013 when he answered his front door in Monument, Colo., police said. According to Lt. Jeff Kramer of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, a family member called 911 to report the shooting and officers found Clements dead in his home. A manhunt is currently underway for the shooter. Clements was appointed to head the Deptartment of Corrections in 2011 after he served more than three decades in the Missouri Department of Corrections. The 58-year-old Clements is survived by his wife, Lisa, their two daughters and their family.
