Julie Newmar was the first actress to portray Gotham City's feistiest villain in the 1960s "Batman" television series. She took on the Catwoman role from 1966-1967.

Eartha Kitt replaced Julie Newmar for the third and final season of the 1960s "Batman" television series and may be best remembered for her turn in that role.

Lee Meriwether played Catwoman opposite actor Adam West in the 1966 "Batman" movie.

Michelle Pfeiffer starred as Catwoman and her alter ego Selina Kyle in Tim Burton's 1992 sequel "Batman Returns."

Although actress Sean Young never played the female lead on the silver screen, she did wear the costume in an unsuccessful campaign to win the role for "Batman Returns."

Halle Berry played the character in the 2004 flop "Catwoman," costarring Benjamin Bratt and Sharon Stone.

Anne Hathaway is the next actress to offer a new interpretation of Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises," opposite Christian Bale.
