Bigger breasts are big business. In 2010, more than 296,000 breast augmentation procedures were performed in the U.S., according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. And women are a lot more likely to get breast implants in some parts of the country than in others.

Breast implant surgery accounts for 14 percent of all plastic surgeries performed in the region (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania).
