Arrest made in 2012 case of dismembered La. dancer
A female suspect has been arrested in the death of a Bourbon Street stripper whose body parts washed ashore on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Margaret Sanchez, 28, was one of the last two people seen with Jaren Lockhart, 22, before she was murdered in 2012. Sanchez was arrested June 11, 2014, and booked with second-degree murder. She has also been charged with obstruction of justice.
Lockhart had been living at a New Orleans motel. Police said she had been reported missing in the early week of June 2012 by her boyfriend, who said he became concerned because he was unable to contact her after she left for work at a strip club.
