On June 2, 2015 law enforcement intercepted a call between David Wright and Rahim, in which Rahim insisted that he could no longer wait to take action; opting to "go after" Massachusetts "boys in blue," rather than his planned out-of-state target. Instead of discouraging Rahim, Wright allegedly supported the plan, telling him to prepare his will and leave his possessions to a named individual.
As a result of this phone call, a confrontation occurred outside a Roslindale CVS, where Rahim worked, on June 2, 2015.
