Shakespeare's Plays

New Books

About 6,000 books were donated to the district by the Harrisburg, Pa., Patriot-News and distributed by The Mississippi Press to area school libraries that were damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

In Translation

Guadalupe Valdez Jr. holds a book written by his grandfather in the 1880s and that he translated, in Corpus Christi, Texas, on March 10, 2006. It took 15 years for Valdez, 88, to translate the book. "Crossing the Rio Grande: An Immigrant's Life in the 1880s," will be published this fall by Texas A&M University Press College Station.
