Bonnie and Clyde's guns auctioned for $504K
This undated file photo shows outlaws and lovers Bonnie Parker (left) and Clyde Barrow. The duo, know as Bonnie and Clyde, robbed and murdered in the United States for two years until they were shot dead at a police road-block in Louisiana in 1934. Guns and other items connected to the couple were auctioned on Sept. 30 by RR Auction of Amherst, N.H.
Two guns, Bonnie Parker's .38-caliber Detective Special that she had taped to her thigh when she was killed and Clyde Barrow's 1911 Colt .45-caliber automatic, sold for $504,000 at the auction. The guns were two of 134 artifacts that belonged to other notorious criminals -- including Al Capone, Pretty Boy Floyd and John Dillinger -- as well as the law enforcement officials that tracked down and killed Bonnie and Clyde in Louisiana. The artifacts sold for a total of $1.1 million
