The body of Marisha Cheong, a 24-year-old college student who disappeared without a trace on Dec. 19, 2012, washed ashore near Breezy Point in Queens on Feb. 16, 2013, CBS New York reports. Cheong was found dressed in her pajamas and her hands were bound.. The cause of death is undetermined and no arrests have been made in the case.
New surveillance video released by the NYPD on October 17, 2013, shows Cheong walking down a street with a woman an hour after Cheong was last seen. In the video Cheong tries to turn around and walk away from the unidentified woman, but she grabs her hand and pulls Cheong along.
Cheong was a student at Long Island University in Brooklyn and had been living in Queens with her boyfriend, LJ Balkaran, prior to her disappearance.

Cheong's mother, Bibi Ali, told CBS New York she doesn't believe her daughter's boyfriend is telling the truth regarding her disappearance. Ali told reporters that Balkaran has given four different explanations as to when he saw Cheong last, CBS New York reports. Balkaran admitted he argued with Cheong on the morning she disappeared, but has denied any involvement in her disappearance, the station reports.
