Amy Schumer
Amy Schumer, the standup comic, writer and actress behind the Peabody Award-winning TV series, “Inside Amy Schumer,” is now starring in her first movie, which she also wrote: “Trainwreck,” a sex comedy about a woman who behaves the way guys in sex comedies usually do.

Standup
"I think I get labeled a sex comic just because I'm a woman. It's like a guy could get up here and literally pull his d*** out and everybody'd be like, 'He's a thinker.'"
Amy and Mo
Backstage at New York's Beacon Theatre, CBS News' Mo Rocca asked Schumer why sex is such great source material for her.
Because, Schumer replied, "it's an opportunity to be really honest about something that a lot of people aren't being open about. If you can be that honest about something that's so seemingly forbidden, that's when the most ridiculous stuff happens. It's such a weird thing."

Born in Manhattan, Amy Schumer's family was at first well-off, until she was 12, "when s*** hit the fan," she said. "My dad got MS. We went bankrupt. Yeah, that's enough, right?"
Evidently, not: After the family moved to Long Island, her parents divorced.

"The sense I've got from spending time with you is that you really know how to have a good time," said CBS News' Mo Rocca.
"Oh, cool! Yeah. I love that. I love to laugh. I seek laughter all the time. I look to have fun.
"I think that's something also that comes with having a sick parent, is you don't know what's going to happen, and so I'll be like, 'I'm so psyched my legs still work!' And I want to experience all I can and make as many memories as I can."
