In May, the TV networks present a reworked fall schedule to advertisers in hopes of nabbing their ad dollars. The women of "Desperate Housewives" attended ABC's fete at Lincoln Center in New York on May 16, 2006. From left: Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Nicollette Sheridan, Eva Longoria and Marcia Cross. Thanks in part to these ladies, ABC is the only major network to increase its ratings over last year.
Actress Teri Hatcher arrives at ABC's May 16 presentation at Lincoln Center in New York. The former Bond girl recently released a tell-all book, "Burnt Toast: And Other Philosophies of Life," which she plans to transform into a sitcom for television.
Nicollette Sheridan, who plays Edie Britt on "Desperate Housewives," and her fiance, singer Michael Bolton, attend ABC's event at Lincoln Center May 16. The couple dated for several years in the 1990s, broke up, and then re-kindled their feelings for each other last year. Sheridan was previously engaged to Nicklas Soderlum, but they split in November 2005.
Felicity Huffman, who plays Lynette Scavo on "Desperate Housewives," arrives at the ABC presentation on May 16. In July, the Oscar winner will begin filming the drama "Georgia Rule," in which she plays Lindsay Lohan's mother. The film is due out next year.
Why was Salma Hayek at the ABC upfront on May 16? Because the actress is the executive producer of ABC's fall show "Betty the Ugly," a fish-out-of-water comedy about a woman who works at a fashion magazine.
Actress Calista Flockhart, seen here at Lincoln Center on May 16, is back on the TV scene starring in a new ABC family drama, "Brothers & Sisters." Her costar is "Six Feet Under" alum Rachel Griffiths. Flockhart, who is dating Harrison Ford, starred in the Fox comedy "Ally McBeal" from 1997 to 2002.
David Arquette and Lori Loughlin pose for photographers in a show of support for their new comedy "In Case of Emergency." Arquette plays a financial whiz and Loughlin plays a doctor in the series directed by Jon Favreau.
Actors Darlene Hunt, Jim Rash, Charlie Finn and Ted Danson attended ABC's presentation in New York. Danson, who starred in the NBC series "Cheers," plays a group therapy leader who could use some therapy of his own in ABC's new comedy "Help Me Help You."
Amanda Detmer, left, and Rosanna Arquette arrive at New York's Lincoln Center on May 16 for ABC's fall presentation. Both actresses star in ABC's "What About Brian" an ensemble drama about the romantic lives of a group of friends in Los Angeles.
