Daniel Brown is one of four suspects police have arrested after a mentally disabled woman allegedly told them she was held captive by him and three others for two years.
The four allegedly forced her to do housework, raided her bank account and menaced her with snakes and pit bulls. An attorney for one of the suspects and the alleged captor's mother said the mentally impaired woman was given a place to stay because she and her young daughter had no home. Authorities announced federal charges Tuesday, June 18, 2013 against Brown, Jordie Callahan and Jessica Hunt. A forced labor charge was unsealed Thursday, June 20, 2013 against a fourth suspect, Dezerah Silsby, after Silbsy surrendered to authorities.
