2016 "Share the Experience" photo contests winners
The 2016 "Share the Experience" Photo Contest winners from the Department of the Interior were revealed exclusively on "CBS This Morning" April 28, 2016.
Yang Lu's photo of the sunrise at Utah's Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is the $10,000 grand prize winner. His photo will be featured on next year's "America the Beautiful" pass, used at more than 2,000 recreational spots. The photo also won the Scenic, Seasons and Landscapes categories.
More than 15,000 amateur photographers sent in pictures of America's national parks, wildlife refuges and historical sites.
